Freshers' Walk: Devil's Dyke

About the trip

PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY!

Get outside, stretch your legs, and meet the hillwalking club! We're planning to hike 17 km along the Devil’s Dyke earthwork in Cambridgeshire. It's a flat, scenic route through trees and fields; the perfect, pressure-free way to meet fellow members, ask questions about our upcoming mountain trips, and make new friends.

We’ll travel together via public transport to and from the path, and there'll be the option to finish the walk at a cozy local pub before heading home. Expect to be out for most of the day - pack a lunch. Find the GPX file here.

Cost: £3 for bus (T4, Reach), £5.45* for train (Newmarket); £8.45 total. Purchase on the day.

*Note, this is the cost with a Railcard. We highly suggest you purchase a Railcard. This will give you 1/3 off on most trains. They go for £35 for 1 year, or £80 for 3 years. (For reference, a 1 year Railcard will pay for itself after about three trips to London)
